User led organisation funding

User led organisations (ULOs) and/or disabled peoples organisations (DPOs) can apply for funding to deliver training for people who employ or contract with personal assistants (PAs).

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has confirmed it will continue to support the training of individual employers and their personal assistants, including those personal assistants who are self-employed, through a dedicated fund of up to £1 million in the financial year 2026-27.

This fund will be administered by NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care (formerly administered by 金莲传媒 for Care).

ULOs/DPOs will use the funding to deliver tailored training for individual employers and personal assistants, helping to ensure that care is personalised and responsive to individual needs.

Funding open for applications 2026-27

The application timeframe is as follows:

  • application window opens – Monday 1 June
  • application window closes – Sunday 26 July
  • applicants notified of outcome – Monday 31 August to Wednesday 9 September.
